The weather in the Midwest has been resembling the Chinook Phenomenon in the future

Here where I've been living, Southern lower Michigan, amidst a high of 50 degree temperature back around the 6th of January, 2019, some pretty cold temperatures were present, albeit at night. Then, sometime around the 13th or so of January, it started getting quite frigid at night; and yet somehow, a 40 degree day somehow managed to crop up in the midst of these frigid days! It seems that the grand solar minimum might have taken effect, and has perhaps been fighting against the effects of climate change. Keep in mind that, the Midwest DOES NOT experience Chinook winds! The frigid temperatures could be evidence for the solar minimum phenomenon as being a major cause, however, the (relatively) really warm days could be evidence that the climate here might be changing in unexpected and interesting ways, as the warmth essentially tries to recover from the cold, and yet even more frigid days are in the forecast, and this time they're supposed to be even colder. In fact, the cold front arriving from the West is supposed to totally slam into Chicago on the 30th, plunging the wind chill to a virtually unimaginable -40 degrees.
