Future news events of 2018 & early 2019

I think that right around the 29th of December, a major controversial topic might spread across the various platforms of social media, and it will continue in January and might involve scientific debate about religion and if true, make us question much of what we know or believe in. Next, I think that the amount of natural disasters might rise, starting January 1, including earthquakes. In January, there's a chance at a major severe storm outbreak in the Southern US; major tornadoes unlikely, but many short-lived.
