What's up with the "paranormal"?

I’m a skeptic when it has to do with unexplained phenomena, and always think about a reasonable explanation to such things. One thing which I’m asking about is why the lights in my room have been turning on by themself; is it a problem with the circuit? It has happened a few times right after I entered the room, but it wasn’t me. I know that there are strange things that have been happening, but am looking for other skeptics to tell me the possible explanation. I’m compelled to know what these phenomena are finally!
