I've been wanting to go somewhere else to take my wintertime photos of ice, such as the rocky mountains.

A Focus stack of 4 exposures, each at f/5.6, using my Fuji XT2 w/Mitakon 20mm @ 4:1. Despite having a flat surface, the camera was still at an angle to the snow crystal, and I cropped this one in to show more detail, some editing in Adobe Camera RAW and slight levels in PS Elements 15. I think this might be my best photo so far. This time, I had to work quickly, not because of wind, but because the temperature was steadily increasing above freezing and the sunlight was getting more intense. This was at about 7:50 am.

I'm wondering if I should focus stack my photos, or simply create a flat surface parallel to the plane of my camera sensor so that I can achieve much more success in my macro photography? I recently had a rig created from an old microscope that didn't work too well for my photography, so that I can now use as effectively a focusing rail. Had also heard about deconvolution, and it did sound interesting. I'm very interested in a variety of programs that could achieve stacking, including Zerene, and one that I've heard about today for the first time, called Altami Studio, which apparently had some great features but is rather expensive, at over $150!

I’m Ready to step up my super macro photography!

Trying to get the ice crystals parallel to the image sensor, i have been planning, in my mind, a better macro setup. Either that, or focus stacking using video frames or continuous shooting. I have planned to build a macro rail, before getting or building a copy stand. I still don’t know whether or not i might be able to plan a transparent surface somewhere to be included into the entire rig. Should be an interesting build, and might open up an entire would of possibilities for my super macro work!

Photographing Ice With Mitakon 20mm Lens!

Using my Fuji XT2 & Mitakon 20mm f/2 4X to 4.5X magnification lens set to about 4.1X, or 4.1:1 ratio. The lens seems to be very unresponsive to light however, at least at about f/8 and downwards. 1/6 of a second exposure in broad daylight, at about 12:00 here in Southern Michigan. This day it was not snowing much at all, but I used a brush and "hunted" for snowflakes out on the ice on the swamp out in the backyard. I used a black hat as a backdrop, adjusted some things in RAW converter, and applied slight levels. Overall, I think that this is only an average image, or maybe a little better than average; Apart from great lighting and backdrop, the DOF is just too narrow for this photo to really work. At the time, I was taking photos at various focusing settings (distances) but by the time the focus got to about the middle portion of the crystal, that's when stuff basically went crazy and the crystal blew away. To my surprise, however, after reviewing the various photo...

What about those non-sexual feelings that one can't describe, and can't explain, yet still exist under which circumstances one can't possibly explain either?! That's what I've been struggling with. My loss of pleasure has been leading me to experience very exotic states of consciousness, as I try to, oh you know, my mind compensating for what's lost. !!!! For example, experiencing what's been feeling like the end of the world, or experiencing vast nothingness (as the best way to describe such things)

Let's see what my new macro lens for my Fuji will be able to produce in regards to photo results, and I wonder how it will compare, especially in terms of depth of field, image quality, and practicality to my phone with simple macro lens attachment. This should be very interesting. I can list some advantages, or benefits, already. With my Fuji, I'll be able to shoot at 10 frames per second, and start out with a base ISO of 200, compared to about 50 on the phone, which should translate into higher shooting speed while maintaining the image quality of the lowest ISO setting. I want to have fun controlling the Fuji with my phone using an app to control all manual settings! Again, let's see how this turns out, and it should be very interesting!
Bam! Winter temperatures set to plummet

I had written that it would be a colder than average winter, even though I'd forgotten to indicate that it would be here, in the midwest. Here you go, the evidence! And sometime between Early February and March, will come extreme warm fronts, is my prediction, and will increase in frequency over cold fronts, so much so that by late March, generally temperatures be well above average. Let's see if it turns out to be true! The last two or three winters were quite cold, but at the start of January 2014, temperatures in the midwest, especially the northern regions, was up to 50 degrees below average. Let's see if that happens once more this winter. I personally, hope for a very cold, but generally dry winter.

I made a really strange but creative animation for Youtube about 4 to five years ago; an now I can't find it! I've been looking for it on my old channel as well! The story behind the video was there was, supposedly, once a kid that lived in the wild and he discovered a strange, indescribable piece of evidence in the wild, in his primitive home. What the evidence really was, was an animation, and that animation was a strange moving entity.
Climate Change & Global Warming's effect on "Feels-like" conditions and wind chills

If global warming is real, then realfeel, or "feels-like" temperatures in temperate regions will probably take a dive for some time, but not indefinitely; the surge of extra moisture in the atmosphere from warmer water means that wind chills will most likely also be worse, but if the warming surpasses a specific point, or threshold, then this "feels-like" and wind chill factor will be able to steadily migrate, or move, ever closer towards the poles. If global cooling is the culprit, or climate change, then the opposite might be very likely to occur.

Should I get The Phantom or the Mantis?!

I've been recently thinking about purchasing a new drone. The Mantis is a relatively small, foldable drone, which I could fly indoors and into haunted/paranormal houses, as well as might be easily transported, especially in my backpack, which I could also take my camera gear in as well. However, the Phantom, being bigger, isn't foldable, although it has the ability to take photo and video of greater quality, especially in dark lighting or simply during the nighttime. The Phantom would probably be more resistant to the wind, and have a flying time of only two minutes less than that of the Mantis (30 min compared to 33 min). Mind you, 33 minutes is long for a drone, especially at the price point that it's recently been at! Otherwise, the Mantis would be lighter and wouldn’t require setup, albeit the latter’s only a slight advantage. The Phantom=$270 more than the Mantis, and is about $400 off retail, while the Mantis=about $150 off retail. So there, a more expensive drone i...

I don't feel in the mood to be around or near people anymore. They just want to like degrade me and treat me negatively. I wish things could be different. I don't like work, or school, and people neither. I don't like this society either. I don't actually like the art that I've been seeing recently, or many of the kinds of books that I've been seeing. I feel as though we're in a time of great suffering, equivalent in some ways to the dark ages; My soul certainly has been feeling such a way! The only thing that can make me feel good is doing what I'm passionate about, all while listening to all of the majestic music that I've been listening. I can't wait to get out and do something fun by myself. I despise the way people have been thinking about me, and it's best to not like them as well!

For future games, when making them to simulate real life, make sure to include the effects of climate change, politics, etc. Make sure that the additional seasons can be included in the games, that might actually start happening gradually on Earth around 2030. Make sure that on level 2100, parts of the world could be burning while others could be having floods to make it more realistic and true-to-life! Make sure that the Arabian desert can in fact reach 140 degrees, that Europe can be flooded in the Autumn...and meanwhile, that Antarctica can reach temperatures COLDER THAN AVERAGE!

I've been wondering, assuming for a moment that climate change's real, how likely is it for the number of seasons to get shorter, longer, or maybe even the transition between some seasons might be more abrupt or less abrupt, or could we even add on another season or more?! Supposedly, there is very little spring time and fall time in Siberia and probably other places like Alaska.

If there’s movement in photo, such as wind rustling foliage in a photo, achieving the Brenizer Method for photography can be so challenging in the modern world, that it can be literally imposible, and this can be even more true if you want to combine photos in another way at the same time; for example, in my case, when I made “Mini Autumn”, I used various exposures to create an HDR effect. But what if you wanted simply to take a high resolution composite, and make each resulting image be focus stacked AND HDR?! I don’t know about that one, but the moving foliage problem is a real mystery, in the sense that I don’t know how one could go about solving it. The Brenizer method, otherwise known as Bokehrama, consists of taking multiple photos, each with a shallow depth of field, to simulate a miniature scene. I think that AI could possibly help with this kind of situation in particular, regarding the moving foliage!
This year's autumn colors compared to previous years

Comparatively speaking, this year's autumn colors here in Southern Michigan have seemed to come and go a little bit quicker than they did in previous years; not only that, but although it might sound funny, I seriously do consider the possibility that climate change might have caused this, and the fact that the rain came to take the leaves away. In addition, the colors of the leaves seem significantly less colorful than they did in previous years. Although somewhat sad, it makes me really wonder whether or not the amount of cloud cover had an effect as well. I suppose that more cloud cover has also caused such a change; perhaps exactly that might have caused a quicker change and caused the leaves to last shorter on the trees. Interestingly, some interesting stuff to think about on this boring day...
